My name is Fiona Watson. I am the Designer and Creator of the Spindrift Company. I have always been artistically inclined, and my choice of further education in Art, and completion of a degree in Decorative Arts, further developed my interest and skills in a number of different mediums and techniques. My subsequent career experience took me to London where I worked for an Interior Design Company for two years.

I began to feel that I was somewhat limited in my choice of career, and decided to go travelling for a year, to help discover what I really wanted to do with my life. Whilst travelling I became fascinated with the wealth of inspirational natural textures and organic materials and their decorative qualities. With a particular penchant for body ornamentation, I found myself creating rough jewellery using organic materials, upon which I had stumbled during the course of my travels. These were then sold for a small profit to my fellow travellers, and inevitably helped to fund the remainder of my trip.

Having finally found an inspiring medium, which did not compromise my creative urges, and promoted my artistic integrity, I returned to England to start my own jewellery design company.

I proceeded to create constantly evolving jewellery designs which I have been promoting and selling through Craft Fairs, Select Craft shops and boutiques in the South West of England. Now using my website to promote my products to a wider audience.

I now obtain my materials from a variety of sources around the world including Italy, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, to create increasingly unusual and wearable designs. I am continuing to develop the company, and the range of products available through Spindrift. The future holds exciting times, as I continue to expand the range of jewellery and the more experimental bespoke work I am undertaking. I am also in the process of developing complimentary fabrics through my undertaking of a Masters Degree in Textile Design, which I will integrate into a collection of fabric based accessories, including bags, and garments.
